Hi Edwin, sorry it took so long reply. I am Ae's daughter (Jane). I was down there for aunty Savaligas funeral. My sister Suluoo was at the burial, but I had to work that day. Anyway, if I remember you correctly, the last time I saw you was when your family were all staying out here in Orange county at the time. Well, as for the Paogofie side, thats my dads father. Grandma Leuta is his mother, but his father was Sasa'e Paogofie (from Pavaiai). Now as for the Tamasese's thats my great grandmothers maiden name Meafou Tamasese, and thats your great great grandmother. I've learned alot about grandma Leutas side of the family. Grandma Leutas mother name is Meafou Tamasese, she had a twin sister name Meatuai Tamasese, but we have family that are still in Tuaefu, Upolu. Tuiatua Tupua Tamasese Efi, which I've already met and spoken to. Uncle Kolai has already met him also. Grandma Leuta still have brothers and sisters who live in NZ, they share the same mother but different father. I found out that great grandmother Meafou was married twice. The first husband is from Am. Samoa which is where our family comes from, but the Niue side is from great grandma Meafous second marriage was to Pavihi, that is uncle Taele's father. Uncle Taele is grandma Leutas half brother who resides in Falelatai (not sure of the spelling) and NZ. So I hope this helps out and explains who the Tamasese is, that is my great grandmothers maiden name, and your great great grandmother. Aunty Meafou (thats my dads sister) lives out here in Vista, she's about a 10 minute drive from my home. I'm glad to hear from you Edwin, I remember you were grandma little (big) baby at the time I last saw you! Take care and email me at the email address: Love you and take care !
Love your cousin, Jane Paogofie Ausage
