I have realised that some of your posts date back to a few years ago, but I have a copy of the family tree starting with Oscar C Smith- Born in Windsor, Vermont - Virginia who sailed to Western Samoa, married Tui Fa'amoe from Lelepa, Savaii, and had 4 children. He then married a second time to Sanita Paulina.
I have a copy of the family tree in detail, but was unable to attach it to this thread.
There are a few missing links with some of the married names. But I am pretty clued into our family history.
I am a decendant from Maria Mariah Cecilia daughter of Oscar & Tui. Maria married a man with the last name Hammerold (incorrect spelling on family tree) from Germany. Unfortunately they "divorced" and Maria wanting to retain the Smith name for their only son, asked her eldest brother, George to formally adopt him. John Hammerold then became John Smith and had my grandfather Masoe Vincent Smith with wife Poima.
The best news, is that I have now discovered who Oscar's parents were, (Originated from England, and moved to USA where Oscar was born) so we are all decendants from the UK.
I am working on updating all the history, and if any of my family is out there, with corrections to the copy I have, please let me know.
