I will be visiting Helsingor in April 2014 around the easter week, staying in town. I would love to access family history records, historical records, historical societies and/or interested individuals to enable me to research as much as possible about my descendants, Niels Peter Petersen and his wife Christiane Lovisa Struck (whose family goes back even further in Helsingor). They married in Helsignor, Skt Olai church 31 August 1838.

If anyone is familiar with historical records, whether they are in English as well as Danish, locations and contact details for anyone or institutions which hold historical records, I would be more than grateful for information. Additionally, if anyone has an interest in meeting me to show me around the city, it's churches and any historical buildings I would love to correspond with you.

I am travelling from Australia and hope to achieve as much as possible to find anything about my relatives, and particularly to meet any descendants who may have stayed in Denmark. My g. g. grandfather left and went to Liverpool UK for 6 years, and then emigrated to Australia in 1868. He was Berent Laurents Frederik Petersen.

Thank-you - any information welcome. Vicki Peterson unity134.
