That is very interesting info. There is a grandfather & his brother whose birth records can't be found. They were born 1872 & 1878. Their mother is listed in an 1880 Pennslyvania census at age 25 with her parents & siblings, but these 2 children are not listed. I had a search done with no results. I found the 2 men in a later censuses listing their parents born in Germany, however a later census lists their parents as born in Pennslyvania, which their mother was. I'm assuming the 2 men found out that their parents were their grandparents and that their sister was their mother. So, as a result we have the history of the mother, but don't know who their father was and the trail ends there. That's is so frustrating.

Thanks for your input,
Karen
