I just found your message. Thank you so much for the info. I really appreciate your help. I did not know about Ane Kirstine.
There's a Just Nielsen who immigrated to St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin (From Hamburg on the Columbia arriving NYC 13 June 1890). I'm trying to determine if this is "my" Just, brother to my greatgrandmother, Mariane, who immigrated to St.Croix Falls in 1888. In the online Danish police records there is someone with the same name whose last residence was G. Estrup, Randers but it shows him as registered on 6/1/1887 so probably the wrong Just. Or the Hamburg Just is not mine or maybe neither are!!! Her brothers Henrik and Johan (Niels'twin) did immigrate to the U.S.for sure.
Interestingly I find Henrik Nielsen (the elder)on the 1834 census for Skive, listed as school teacher; married. Probably why his name was erased on the record you cited. I think his father was Niels Jensen Tysk from Tvilum. I don't know where the nickname Tysk came from, the family doesn't appear to be German.
