Last night I received on my mail an obituary for one of Laurits Bertelsen’s family. That gives a pretty good picture of the family including living persons. I’m very grateful for that. Combined with the last post from "falsterden" I have a good basis for furter search.
It will be up to me to continue the search for those living people.

Laurits Bertelsen’s immigration, wedding and death has also been confirmed.

For the brother Bertel I know now that he had no children and that he was not buried with his wife. Also, he is not listed with a SSN.
So he could have returned to Denmark. Most likely I’ll end up checking with the official “Folkeregister” if he returned. But that has no real meaning, as he left no children.

I’m very happy with the outcome of this thread and would like to thank you all for your great support. There may some areas where I need further assistance, but then “I’ll be back”
