Hello,

I've been doing some family history research and it's been proving a little difficult as the family emigrated from the Faroe Islands around 1890 and I couldn't find a place to search the databases for the Faroe Islands.

However, this evening I had a bit of a breakthrough and it looks like I am sort of related to the Hentze family, in particular Eva nee Olsen. It looks like from the records that I can find that my great great grandmother (Caroline Amalie Olsen) was taken in as a foster child by Eva and her husband Johan Peter Hentze when she was a young girl. The record I have is from 1880 when the parents are 29 years old and they have 2 children: peter hantze, 3 years old; and ole edvard hentze, under a year old. The census is from Sandur. I am guessing that my great great grandmother was her niece and that her parents died when she was young as it says in her marriage certificate that they are both deceased (ole and marianne olsen, although this spelling could be wrong).

I wondered if this tied in at all with your magazine and if you would be willing to share any information that might be helpful, please?

Nicole
