Stefan Baranovsky taught at the University of Helsinki and his son, Vsevolod, married Lydia Vasiliev who was born in Finland according to her son's birth certificate. Lydia was the daughter of Vasily S. Vasiliev,a famous scholar at the University of St. Petersburg. (Of course, I'm not sure that either Baranovsky or Vasiliev are Finnish names!)
