"Any information" is a bit vague....here is something to start with.
His parents were Josef Einarsson (b. 1807) and Solveig Stefánsdóttir (b. 1817). Josef ran the general store in Vopnafjörður at the time of the 1845 census (available at www.manntal.is
) but in 1851 he moved to the farm of Syðri-Vík.
Einar's wife's name was Kristín Ingveldur Bjarnadóttir. She was his second wife - his first wife was Helga Björg Jóhannesdóttir, but they had no children.
When Einar and Kristín emigrated in 1883 from the farm of Ytri-Hlíð in Vopnafjörður (on the east coast of Iceland), they took with them four children, Josep, Jóhannes, Björg Birgitta (named after Einar's first wife) and Solveig.
Regarding relatives, Einar had one sister, Birgitta MAría Jósepsdóttir, who emigrated in 1893 with her husband, Guttormur Þorsteinsson and their 10 children.
Kristín had four brothers and three sisters. Two of those died young, but the remaining 5 all emigrated. She also had six half-siblings, five of which either emigrated, or all their children emigrated - however, one stayed behind, Rósa Bjarnadóttir, and she has some descendants in Iceland.
