Dear Walter, I think the strange sentences that you are getting are a result of Google Translate imperfections. In the first case, the entry in Lithuanian vikipedia simply states: "Sakaiciai" which is a plural form meaning the family of Sakowicz. The "to the number" phrase that shows up in Google Translate is probably intended to indicate that plurality. The same holds true for the scond instance from the general entry in lt.wiki about Sakowicz family. The last paragraph talking about the descendants of Stecko Sakowicz talks about MULTIPLE descendants of Stecko taking the surname Steckowicze. By the way, the information in this article is based on the most comprehensive study of the Sakowicz family published to date, written by Ewa Kelma (and quoted in the above lt.wiki) it should be a "must read" for researchers of this family.
So to sum it all up. "to the number" appears to be a quirk in the google translate when it encounters plural Lithuanian words. Hope it helps.
