Dear Mary,
I think there may be a very good chance that we are related. I am from Michigan and my father's mother was one of the youngest daughters of August and Margaret Gustinis. It looks like they always lived on the West side of Grand Rapids. I have pictures of their grave stones in the Saint(s) Peter and Paul Lithuanian Cemetery in Grand Rapids. If you think your Grandfather, August, is the same one in my tree, please feel free to contact me at: amber.bremmer@gmail.com

I believe that August's mother and father were Juozapas and Magdelena and they were spelled Gustainis, but August and his children were all Gustinis. I know they are the same family because a lot are buried in the same plot.

I am having a hard time figuring out how many children August and Margaret had, seems like at least 12 with at least 2 that had died shortly after birth.

My grandmother, Jacqueline (Jackie) was one of the youngest, however, they were not able to care for her so she was sent away to live with another family as a young child. She passed at the age of 28 during childbirth.

If any of this sounds familiar, I would love to hear from you.

Best Regards,
Amber
