Thank you very much for the Ellis Island information on my Grandmother Martha Gradrim. I had heard from someone within my family that she had not immigrated through Ellis Island but somewhere else. The reason I know this is my grandmother is 1) yes her brother was August, and 2) the street she lived on is called Paxton Avenus now but very old Chicago Title and Trust records show that street was initally called Grove.
