When someone filed for citizenship, the first form they submitted was their Declaration of Intent (a.k.a. First papers). It would inlcude their birthplace as well as arrival information.
I have been fortunate that some church marriage register entries actually listed the place of baptism of the bride & groom back in Lithuania. It all depended upon how detail oriented that parish priest was.
Algerdas Senkus was living at 1661 Old Country Road, Trailer #31. The development is called Glenwood Village and it is a community for active adults 55 & over.
I'm not sure if Algerdas was a practicing Catholic. I believe there was a family falling out when he married a Jewish woman. He lived out on Long Island since about 1947 and his wife is buried out there (don't know the actual location). They had no children so he is likely buried in NY.
Thanks for letting me know about the church phone numbers. I need to call the funeral home that buried Algerdas' wife back in 1974 to see if they did his funeral.
