Surnames: Remkus, Laentis
What is a delaration of intent? How would I be able to view it?
The local catholic church lists marriages in a book. I have a copy of that information, the writing is very bad. Louis's father was Ignatz Remkus, his mother Annie Laentis as far as I can make out her last names spelling. They were all listed as coming from Poland, Russia. No town listed.

There are 2 catholic churches in Riverhead. I would guess Senkus was catholic. St. Isidores, 622 Pulaski St. Riverhead, Ny 631-727-2114. St. John's 546 St. John's Pl. Riverhead Ny 631-727-6774. If there was an Obit. it should have been in the local paper Riverhead News Review.
Riverhead is a town and a township which has several hamlets that have different churches and cemeteries. If his actual address was Riverhead and he was catholic he should be in the catholic cemetery, unless he was buried in Ct.
I am not sure if the cemetery is under St. Isidores or St. Johns, but I can find out.
