Surnames: Remkus, Senkus
I see that in 1930 census, Louis Remkus is listed as being naturalized. His declaration of intent should list his arrival information as well as a birthplace.

Do you have a copy of the church marriage register which listed his father or did someone do an extract. It's best if you have a copy of the original so you don't have to rely on someone else's reading of the info.

Birthplaces of Klaipeda/Memel and Palanga and would explain a German mixture.

I see you are out on LI. Could you do me a favor, if possible.

I am looking for an obituary of someone who died in Riverhead NY back on 19 December 1993.

Info as follows:

SSN 130-07-8215
Residence:Riverhead, Suffolk, NY
Born November 26, 1912, New Britain CT
Died December 19, 1993, Riverhead NY

His wife died before him and they had no children. I checked with the local library there and they could not find a record of an obituary. It's possible no obituary was written for him.

His will did not identify any descendants or relatives though there are some. I'm trying to find where he is buried.

Any help would be appreciated.

Tom S.
