Half of Vilna Governorate lied in territory of modern Belarus.

Your ancestors could have been from Belarus. You mentioned in your previous posts that they spoke Russian and Polish. Ethnic Poles still live in the territory that would be Belarussian part of Vilna Governorate.

The Lithuanian version of the village would be Plytinė or Plytinės kaimas (village of Plytine). There are 4 Plytine villages that come up on google maps and 6 on maps.lt They are in Šalčininkai, Švenčionys, Trakai and Vilnius districts. They would all fall in Vilnius Governorate territory.
