Help reading emigration & confirmation record

I have a dilemma. I am trying to find out if a child of 9-10 years old went from Sandsvær, Buskerud county to Gjerpen, Telemark County by himself, without his parents. If so, would anybody know why?

Gullik Mathiasen was born in Komnes, Sandsvær in 1866 to Mathias Thorsen & Maren GURINE Gulbrandsdatter. I have his baptismal record, and his 3 brothers, Hans Kristain (1864), Martin (1872), and Lars Christian (1875), whose parents were Mathias Thorsen & Maren OLINE Gulbrandsdatter. The whole family is listed in the 1875 census Boserudeie, Sandsvær.

I then found the confirmation records for Gullik's 3 brothers in the Efteløt, Sandsvær, Parish records. Hans Kristian 1878, Martin 1888, & Lars Kristian 1889. But no Gullik. This made me think that the family moved during the time that Gullik should have been confirmed. So I looked at the emigration records and found what seemed to be Gullik moved to Gjerpen in 1875 (recorded in Komnes in Sandsvær, Parish register 1880). I then found his confirmation record in Gjerpen in 1880. I could not find the whole family leaving Sandsvær or coming back to Sandsvær. If the whole family left, how could they leave in 1875 & have Gullik confirmed in 1880 in Gjerpen, but his older brother confirmed in Efteløt, Sandsvær in 1878.

The whole family, except Gullik, (and lost site of Hans)seemed to have stayed in Sandsvær until the mother Maren & her 2 youngest sons left for Amerika in 1890. Emigration parish records and passenger list show this. The father Mathias, died in Sandsvær in 1888. I cannot find any emigration parish record for Gullik, either in Sandsvær or Gjerpen, but I know he left for America also.

Anyway, here are the 2 records I am hoping will shed some light on my question. I am having trouble reading all of it and that part may have a clue for me.

Another question. Gullik was the only child out of 4 to have his mother's middle name Gurine, instead of Oline. His confirmation record also lists her as such. Was this just a fluke? I know this family all belong together. Lar's obit lists a brother Gullek.
