I am looking for information on the early settlers of Oleana, PA which includes the families of my great-great grandparents. Ole Olson Strøm or Stromslokken or even Strømmen and his wife, Berit, and 4 children, Ole, Anne, Paul and Marit came to the U.S. on the ship Incognito from Stromslokken farm at Alvdahl, Hedmark, Norway in 1852. They settled at Oleana with Ole Bull and 6 years later came to Trempeleau County, Wisconsin. Paul, my great grandfather, married Serena Olson Tappen who came to the U.S.and Oleana with her parents in 1857 from Romedal, Hedmark, Norway. Her father Ole Olson Tappen was from the farm Gravberget and christened in Aasnes Parish. Her mother was Elizabeth Embretson Asnes Parish, farm of Haroldskoven. My grandfather, Bernt, son of Paul and Serena, left wisconsin as a young man and settled in the RedRiver Valley near Moorhead.
