My Great Great Grandparents were Christien Gjerde and Anne Rekkedal. They had a son(My Great Granfather) by the name of Arne C. Jerde b:9/25/1866 at Sondmor,Hjorundfjord,
Norway. Arne was married to(My Great Grandmother) Ellen O. Riise b:2/1/1868 at Sabo,Hjorundfjord, Norway. They were married 1/12/1892 near Echo, Minnesota. They moved to their home in Dawson,MN.
They had 5 children. Their names were Anne(Mrs.Louis Moe), Arnold, Coyle(Mrs.I.N. Larson), Ione(Mrs.Omar Ellefson),and
Joel(My Grandfather). Joel Jerde b:12/26/1908 married (My Grandmother) Amy Holtan b:9/24/1911. They were married on
9/14/1931 in Dawson,MN. They were the parents of my father,
Roderick L. Jerde b:7/18/1932 in Montevideo,MN. Amy Holtan was born and raised in Dawson along with her other eight siblings. Her parents were Charles O. Holtan and Anne J. Hanson.
