I am seeking information about the descendants and ancestors of Sever HAUGEN of Sør Aurdal, Valdres, Norway. He had at least two daughters: Mary SEVERSON (married a BURGER) and Caroline SEVERSON, both of whom emigrated to Wisconsin as did their father. Caroline married Henry K. AABERG. After Caroline's death, Henry married his cousin Rosa, widow of Levi YORK. Henry had twelve children, at least two of them with Rosa (LOE)(YORK) AABERG. Among them were Sever, Viola, John, Clara, Royal, and Ole.
The AABERG family is directly related to Mikkel Knutson BRATTEBRATEN, son of Knut and Agot (RAKKEHAUGEN) BRATTEBRATEN. Mikkel was born 27 Aug 1854 in Aabjor, Aurdal, Valdres. He died 7 Aug 1938 in / near Aurdal. Mikkel is my husband's great-grandfather.
