Rønnaug Evensdatter (Melgaard), was a sponsor/witness to two of her grandsons' baptisms in 1905 and 1907 in Sør-Aurdal, Oppland County. As I mentioned earlier, she was not present in her son's household at the time of the 1910 Norway census. So maybe she DID immigrate to America?
If so, is this her? (Although the spelling is a bit off.):

I looked for a similar sounding/spelling name of Rønnaug in the 1900 and 1905 censuses, and came up with no matches.
Unfortunately, there are no online Wisconsin death indexes, circa 1920-1950 (at least that I'm aware of). To confirm my hunch that Rønnaug Evensdatter (Melgaard), born April 23, 1845, died in La Crosse County, one would have to contact:http://www.co.la-crosse.wi.us/registerofdeeds/Docs/VitalReco...
