My grandfather Albert Krefting came to the US in 1879-80. My father had contacts with family in Norway but have lost them along the way. We were placed in the family tree, but I think incorrectly. Albert's parents died prior to 1865 (when census took place) and he was foster son of Carl Arnesen (Arneson?) and Marthe Thorstensdatter. Albert's parents were Karl Krefting and Grethe Marie Eriksdatter of Frederikstad. After parents died he live in Tune and graduated from Ostfold Landbroksskole in Kalnes near Tune just prior to coming to US. I am seeking info on foster family and Karl and Grethe. Thanks.
