I have the census references to Christ that you point out, and some of the birth records. I will get to work on others that I do not have. I have rarely used the Family Search site but it looks like I should change that practice. That Higdahl child would account for number six if in the right family. Thank you very much.

My search of the church records for that period included all that the current pastor knew existed. The records did record the baptismal parishes in Norway for members Mette and Christ in 1885. I had worked hard through other directions to find those earlier- then found them in front of my nose-exciting confirmation. Unfortunately by the time the records got to Christ and Bertina's marriage the pastor had changed and the practice stopped.
