I worked on this quite a bit last weekend, as did some other searchers, and for those Norwegians born after the 1900's, it's harder to get information because of privacy issues. The best advice I saw from someone regarding your very frustrating dilemma, is that the 1910 census is soon to come out in Norway, and that you will have a few months left to wait. Since he was born in 1906, I hope that you will find what you need. Repost in a few months, with all of the information that you currently know, and I'd bet that the researchers will be chomping a the bit to get some good results from that 1910 census.

Here is the link to the other query and answers, maybe Thoraway can shed some new light on it, but there still seemed to be some Australian records that could be sent for.
