In 1850, 1860 and 1870, Kittel in in Boone, Illinois. In 1850 "Kittle Jensen" is living with his parents. In 1860 "Kittle Olsen" is married to "Catherine" with 6 year old son Lewis and 4 year odl daughter Eline. In 1870 "Kittle and Catherine Olesen" are in Boone with 6 children.

In 1880 the family is in Minnesota. "Catherine" is now called "Torgon". The childen Hilda and George do make it look like this is the same family, but I am not 100% convinced that "Catherine" and "Torgon" are the same person.

According to gthe 1900 census, "Torgan Oleson" arrived in 1840, but is only the mother of 1 child. This could easily be wrong, but I still find it odd that she would call herself "Catherine" for 30 years, then switch to "Torgan".
