The Aasland family came from Bø, Telemark, Norway. Jørgen Olsen took the name Aasland from a farm in that district and he married Signe Halvorsdatter (b. 1861) in Dodge Co. Minnesota in 1884. Signe had come to the US in 1862 with her parents (also from Bø, Telemark) Halvor Kittelsen (b. 1824) and Ingeborg Halvorsdtr (b. 1831) and a sister, Kari who is listed as born 1859 in Norwegian emigration records.

The parents of Anna Selsland/Silsand - her mother was from Hadsel, Nordland, Norway (one of the districts in the old region often called Vesterålen) and came to the US as a young single woman in 1900.

Hadsel would be an interesting place to look for the birth of Kari (Carrie - etc. etc.). See this family in the 1865 census for Hadsel -

Yes! Yes! She was christened as Kaja Sophie - parents Peder Amundsen and Jonette Sivertsdatter.

She left through the port of Trondheim i 1898 -

With a name like Kaja I'd be thinking there might be Swedish ancestors in the background.
