You are related to this person? If yes, that means that he had at least one child -- name(s)?? Where and when they (each) born?

Is a wife's name known?

Did this person emigrate from Norway? If yes, then lived the rest of their life where? When died/where buried? Any document in the new country list WHEN he arrived there (left Norway)?

The parish church records of birth/baptisms in Hafslo district are scanned and available free online for reading. IF that is the correct part of Norway then you would probably find a baby boy named Johannes (or similar variation on that name) listed in the records. But Johannes is a very common given name in Norway -- what if you find more than one listed?? This is why you need more information.

WAIT WAIT -- This man appears in the free databases of FindAGrave doesn't he? Buried in Walsh County, North Dakota in an area with quite a few others of that surname? There will be US records to give you more information. Study them... more information is available to you.
