The more I research, the list of questions grows larger and larger. This branch of our family tree is very large and it seems they must have been a major percentage of the population in the Gauldalen Valley for a few hundred years. My limited ability to translate Bygdebok pages, seem to suggest that Krake was the 1st resident of that Loberg farm, but no clue where he came from - are there any theories on this? And I don’t seem to have pages of the Skaret farm for the Haftor L family – which volume would it be in?
From what I’ve read on the 1345 flood, again mostly in Norwegian & subject to my poor translations, it seems that the valley was barren for a couple hundred years, but Haftor is listed as born there in 1520, so I'm wondering when people began to move into the valley.
Whenever I start sleuthing the ancestors, the ability to time travel is my fondest wish.
Thanks in advance for any clues you can provide on where to find some answers.
