The census of 1900 shows that Ole and his wife were married 8 years. (1892?)

It shows that Ole emigrated in 1886 and is a naturalized citizen.

Those naturalization papers may hold some clues for Ole Aukland. Bookmark these:

Search for Ole Aukland, and you see 2 records that are available to order.
Immigrants seeking citizenship had to file first and 2nd papers, so perhaps in those papers, there must be information about his birth, parents, etc.

You can order online, or email for further help.

As far as children go,
Before the census, and at the time of the census, the couple Ole and Emma Aukland had three children, Gustava Sisilia, Bennie, and Oliver.

The Minnesota birth index shows that after the census, with the last name Aukland, mother's name Emma, in Polk County, these children were born.

Ancestry.com has someone who has posted Ole Aukland's information, but if you do the math, they have his birthyear wrong. I think the month and year on the 1900 census,
Dec. 1868, is a better year. The following would make him just 15 at marriage.

DianesConnections Has a PUBLIC tree that includes:
Name: Ole Aukland
Birth: 12 Dec 1876 - Norway
Marriage: 1891 - Nielsville, Polk, Minnesota, USA
Death: 10 Sep 1902 - Nielsville, Polk, Minnesota, USA
Residence: 1900 - Hubbard, Polk, Minnesota

Saw this:
I do know that he was born Dec 12, 1867 in Norway and died Sept 10, 1902 in Nielsville, MN. He married Emma Hauge who died in 1963 in Nielsville.

If he was a church member there in Polk county, there are church records sometimes, which tell which parish in Norway the member was confirmed in. Which Norwegian language Lutheran church was in Nielsville at that time?

Maybe there was an obituary for Ole Aukland, at the time he died, or at least a newspaper article about his death.

I see that Bennie Aukland is buried at St. Petri Cemetery in Nielsville, so I would imagine that the St. Petri church records are the ones that you would want to have searched for Ole Aukland.
