Yes they were Carl John's parents. Karoline is spelled "Karolina" and "Carolina" in other sources! It gets confusing. CJ Faanes was my grandfather. He was married to Myrtle Weigen (or WEGAN/WEIGAN) about 1920 and they had two sons. My dad, Alton, was born March 16, 1921, and my uncle Eldrue was born in November 1922. They lived on a farm north of Prairie Farm, Barron County, when my dad and uncle were born. Carl John (known primarily as John) was killed on June 3, 1954 in Cameron when he drove his car over a railroad track on the west side of town, about a block from home, unaware that a train was bearing down on the crossing. I have figured out where their farm was near Prairie Farm. Now I'm trying to track down their wedding date and in what county they were married.
