I belive this Magrethe Olsdtr. Meland, was b. 25. Feb. 1853 in Hjelmeland, Rogaland, Norway. Mother Bronla Jakobsdtr. Meland, b. 31. Oct. 1827 at Meland farm, Hjelmeland, d. 18. Dec. 1918 in Eagle Grove, Wright County, IA. Father of Magrethe was Ola Olson Gravsto, at Breivik farm, Hjelmeland. Parents of Magrete not married. There are 2 brothers Ola Olson Gravsto born 1824 and 1827. Not known who was the father. When Magrete was confirmed in Hjelmeland the Minister wrote that Magrete was born at Grovsto, Breivik farm, but perhaps more likely she was born at her mothers farm Meland. Her mother Bronla m. 5. Jul. 1859 in Hjelmeland to Lars Larson 1838-1919. The family emigrated from Stavanger in 1866 with ship Iris. Lars died in Eagle Grove as well and they are both burried at Rosehill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Lars and Bronla did live in Lee county in 1880, so they where close to Magrete, but in 1900 they have moved to Wright County, Iowa.
The husband of Magrete, Ole Hall is Ole Johan Olson (Holle) b. 10. Oct. 1848 in Hjelmelandsvaagen, Rogaland. His father Ola Mikkelson Holle, b. 1813, died there in 1859. In 1872 the mother Kirsti Olsdtr. , b 1816 at the Bjerga farm, Stjerneroy, Rogaland, d. 1909 in Leland, Adams twp., laSalle county, IL. - emigrated from Stavanger with ship Brodrene, together with her
