Can anyone tell me how Sater with the two little dots over the a came to be.
I am interested the history of the area. I know that in the early 1800's a E. D. Sater came to America.
At first it was believed that he had changed his name to Sater after leaving Sweden, but after a little more research we have discovered that was not the case.
My grandfather E. D. Sater was from Sater sweden, migrated to the united states, ultimatly ending up in Arkansas.
If anyone has information on this line of Sater's please forward.
As for right now my main interest is in the history of the Sater area.
I can not make the two dots over the a, as I am on a webtv.
