My husband is a descendent of Captain Michael McTurk, a founder of the British settlement of Demerara, Guyana (Guiana). My husband's great-grandfather never told us his father's name, and it is not on his birth certificate, but he did say that he was descendant from the captain within 3 generations. I am searching for the missing link!
