The Revd. Arthur Mordaunt Hale, BA (Christ's College, Cambridge) was appointed as curate of St Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands, in 1898.
An announcement to this effect appeared in the Parish Magazine. Nothing further is heard of him in the parish.
A footnote in the Cambridge Alumni states: In June, 1898, being then a curate in the Channel Islands, he was committed at Gloucester Assizes on a charge of bigamy.
I believe he spent the rest of his life as a schoolmaster in Georgetown, British Guiana
