I have just found my g-grandfather in Wuustwezel, Antwerpen, Belgium.He immigrated to US in 1863, 3 years after his mother's death and leaving all his siblings behind.
He had a sister (Joanna Philomena Ruyssers) who was born in same area in 1841. My mother told me my g-grandfather had a sister who was a nun. This would have been Joanna. I don't know which convent she may have joined.
Can anyone give me some insight as to how to find where the convents were in Antwerp area that she may have joined in about 1860?
