Need help finding Ferdinand Huybrecht and Theressia Maria Van Loo (Looy)

My ancestors emigrated from Belgium about 1857 and settled in Wisconsin, USA. I haven't been able to trace their emigration or birthplace in Belgium. I don't know if they were married before leaving Belgium or met and married in the US. The only information I have are their names and birth dates.

Ferdinand Huybrecht, birth 7 Apr 1835; Theressia Maria Van Loo (or Looy) birth 8 Apr 1843. My mother was told that Theressia was Flemish. The US Census records indicate their language as Flemish. In the 1870 Census Ferdinand's mother, Anna, was with them so she emigrated also.

The family lived in the Green Bay area for many years, many still do.

I am completely stuck at this point and hope someone can help me make some progress. Thank you, Elizabeth

Defraine and Vanderkluysen - Lembeek Belgium

I am researching my mother-in-law's family.
My mother-in-law is Marie Louise Pouw born in 1929 at Lembeek, Belgium and died in 1973 in Australia, she is one of eight children born to Hendrikus Gerardus Pouw and Angèle Defraine. (4 children born in Lembeek, Belgium and 4 children born in Utrecht, Netherlands).

Her mother, Angèle Defraine was born on 19 Dec 1907 in Lembeek, Belgium and died in 1975 in Utrecht, Netherlands, and according to her "Persoonskaart" she was of Dutch nationality. She is the daughter of Charles Louis Defraine and Marie Clémence Vanderkluysen.

I am not sure whether Angèle's parents also went to the Netherlands or stayed in Lembeek, Belgium.

Could someone please advise me what records are available in the province of Vlaams-Brabant, i.e. Census, persoonskaart, civil registration, cemetery records etc...

My Great Grandfather, Joseph Lambert was born in Brussels, Belgium. He married my Great Grandmother Victorine Dewaele. They had my Grandmother, Alice Lambert. My Great Grandfather was killed in 1916 in WWI. I believe his parents were Camille Lambert and his wife's name was Mathilda. I am working on our family history and am at a bit of a road block with their family. During the war my Grandmother, Alice moved to Middelkerke ( Flanders ) to live with HER Grandparents, while her mother stayed in Brussels to work. Any information on their family would be greatly appreciated. It's hard as they all spoke different dialects of the language. My Grandmother came to America when she was 20 years old and her mother remarried to Cyril Feryn. My Grandfather was also from Belgium, but he was from Kortermark ( corermark ). He came over to America when he was very young. His name was Michel Cool, Parents were Joseph and Victorine Cool. They all settled in Lyon County, MN ( Marshall is the town ).

Racetrack near Tervuren

I have been researching a daughter line and found several daughters had married men from England. Additional searching revealed that 2 of the 3 men were jockeys. Was there a horse racing track near Tervuren or in Brussels in the late 1890 to 1910 time frame? If so, where was it and would it be possible to get information on the site?

I'm stuck with my search for the family Wijnand(s), also written as Wynants, Weijnands etc.
I oldest I have are:
Eustatius (Statius) Wijnand, born ca.1720/1730, RK
married Johanna/Jacoba Nicola
They lived in Zeeland, Netherlands and got for sure a son called Jacobus Wijnand,
I suspect they also had a son Leonardus and Christiaan and a daughter Maria Margreta.

It's quite possible they came from Belgium to Netherlands
Is there anyone who knows these names, for example I can't find the name Eustatius anywere on internet.
Does anyone know something about this family?>

I have compiled a genealogy of the GUNS family from Brabant, Belgium, several branches of which settled in the vicinity of Green Bay, Wisconsin. From that compilation I am issuing a publication covering the first 11 generations, about 1600 to about 1920. The work is 470 pages and in addition to the genealogical work contains a section on the history of Brabant, including local histories for several towns in the vicinity of Huldenberg, Belgium (turn of the century photos and population graphs are provided). The towns include: Huldenberg, Neerijse, Loonbeek, Sint-Agatha-Rode, Ottenburg, Oud-Heverlee and Sint-Joris-Weert. Maps of the towns are also provided.

The genealogy is written in MS Word, and is known to work with both Office 97 and Office XP. It should also work with the various versions in between those products.

Mathilde LAMMENS, age 37 and her daughters: Alice,age 5 and Emma,age 2 , all born Belgium, entered Ellis Island, New York, USA on 11 Apr 1901, via ship Westernland on her way to husband, Peter DE TOLENAERE in Paterson, NJ. She and her husband spoke Dutch, so they were Flemish and from Northern Belgium.
Peter cannot be located in the NJ census records so the surname must be incorrect. Mathilde’s last place of residence was Baucharte, Belgium.

Eugenia LAMMENS, age 31, born Belgium, and her daughter Cecilia, age 3, entered Ellis Island on 8 Mar 1892 via Antwerp Belgium, ship Friesland, en route to Paterson, NJ. Last place of residence was Backhoute in Meetjesland, now part of Assenede.

The files are available for downloading in the RTF format. The newspaper was published between 1889 and 1920 in DePere, Wisconsin, a town Green Bay, Wisconsin. That area was heavily settled by immigrants from The Netherlands and Belgium, as well as immigrants from Poland, Germany and Ireland.

All I know is names of my chidren's great grandparents names:

August DePrez born January 12 1889 on his mass card it state from Ichtegem--Wijnendale, Belgium

Leona DePrez born March 18, 1901 she may have been in the military. I just don't know for what country.

I was always told the part of Belgium was close to the Fench Border because the name is more French.

My ancestors were:
MANUEL SANCHEZ-TOSCANO WAFLAR (my mother grandfather), born in Niebla (Huelva) circa 1886. Dead in Puerto Real (Cádiz) on 1936. His brothers: Francisco, José Luis, Elisa, Margarita, Aurora, Rómulo y Remo.
They were all children of:

My Great Grand Parents Emile Nerinckx and Louise Coupez, both born abt. 1858 along with their daughter Fanny b. Jan. 16, 1879. emigrated to Canada. Fanny married Alexander James McDonald in 1895. Emil apparently returned to Belguim while Louis and Fanny both remained in Canada.
Louise Coupez's father was Francois Hubert Louis Coupez b. 3 Nov., 1837 in Saintes, Belguim her mother was Anna Amandine Devroede b. 17 Sep 1837 in Rebecq. I have no further information on the Emile Nerinckx side of the family.
I am seeking information on both the Nerinckx and Coupez families. I have solid information on descendent which I would gladly share.

I am looking for information on the parents of Dominicus Bernardus Meulemans (Bernard) born 8/29/1829. Bernard is the nephew of Petrus (Peter) Meulemans born December 30, 1807 in Bierbeek.

I am also looking for information on the family of Philip Meulemans and his wife Phillipine Vanderveeren of Blanden. They had a son Michael Meulemans born July 20, 1855 in Blanden. Michael married Maria Catherine Van Kelf May 10, 1879 in Lauvain, Belgium, daughter of Carolus Van Kelf and Albertina Boogaerts.
