Surnames: DOMINICI, DOMINICY, DOMINESEY, DOMINISSE
I have some Dominicy ancestors from the village of Turpange located just south of Arlon in Belgium. I am a descendent of Andre and Anna Maria(Kalen) Dominicy/Dominici. I descend from their son Theodore and then from Theodore I descend from John Nicolas(1795-1886). John Nicolas Dominicy married Catherine Kirsch. I descend from their son Michael(1831-1908), who, with his brothers moved to Sheldon, Wyoming county, NY in about 1844. My ggggrandfather was this Michael Dominicy who "americanized" his Belgian name to Dominisse(pronounced dohm-uh-niss-ee), but I understand other members of the family changed the name to Dominesey. Michael was married to Mary Schroder and moved west to Sheboygan county, Wisconsin and then to Warren and Shelby counties in Iowa, and finally settled in Randolph, Nebraska where he is buried. Are some of these people also your Dominicy's?
