Surnames: Youngyilligas Yougyelgra
I am researching a tree for a friend in which the name "Youngyilligas" appears. I suspect this is an Americanized spelling of a name. The 1900 census spells the name "Yougyelgra", which I also suspect is not accurate, and states the family is from Alsace.
Can anyone suggest an accurate spelling for this name?
