1) Choose the commune (=town/village) you want in the list
2) /Optional/ restrict the search to a type of record (leave blank to get them all):
- Tables décennales = 10-years indexes (created in 1792)
- Naissances = Births
- Mariages = Marriages
- Décès = Deaths
- Publication de mariage = Marriage Banns
- Registre des noms des juifs = Jewish Names Register (By law, all French Jews had to choose a legal surname in 1808)
3) /Optional/ restrict the search to a time period:
- Egale à = equals (the year ...)
- Inférieure à = Before
- Supérieure à = After
- Entre = Between
4) Click on [Rechercher] (= search)
5) When you get your list of available records, click on the "magnifying glass" icon on the right of the one you want
