Johann Martin Schwoerer/Schwörer was a sergeant for Napoleon, serving in many campaigns including Russia. This from a news article by a grandson. Other information indicates Johann was born in a "small village outside Strasbourg". The French Military Archives referred me back to the region he was from saying I needed to identify the location where he enlisted.
