I'm very glad to hear from you and that this information was useful to you! I remember very well this research, I might have gone a little overboard but you know how it is, when you're on a roll...

Anyway, if you plan to visiting this summer, you'll do well to check any place you intend to go to beforehand to be sure they'll be open (most are closed in August). Don't hesitate to contact or visit the association if you can, I'm sure they'll try to help you if possible.

Also, I've checked the Gironde Archives website again and good news, they've put the passports records (1800-1889) on-line! As surmised, the DUTRUCH family is amongst them, for the year 1861 (October 2), but the destination is Vitoria (Spain). No idea why they would go there first.
