Surnames: Quain, Quaine, Quane
I believe Johanna was from Limerick. She was the sister of my gggrandmother Ellen Quaine. They were the daughters of James Quain and Bridget Ena Power who married in Limerick about 1869. James died in Limerick about 1893.
Johanna came to Melbourne Australia on the SS Thermopylae in May 1896 with her mother and a number of other siblings. Her sisters Ellen and Mary had come to Australia in 1887.
Johanna seems to have travelled to Sydney where she married Pierre Pelanque about 1913. Although Pierre seems to have remarried in 1922, I have not been able to discover what happened to Johanna.
