Escapule of Pau, capitol of Basses, on Gave de Pau, ancient capitol of Bearn, in southern France

Looking for the Escapule Famiy from the Pau area of France,marginal to the Basque country in the Pyrenees Mts on the Spanish-French border. Pau had a pop in 1945 of 36,000. The Escapule family came to America around 1860 and mined in NM, moving to Los Angeles area where they farmed. In about 1871 they returned home leaving a son, John Escapule in CA. He arrived in Tombstone,AZ between 1877-1878 and his decendents still live there.
