Greetings from New Zealand

My gggg grandfather, "Jean Isedore Allis" was born in Basse-Normandie in about 1776. His parents were Pierre Andre Guillaume Allis & Marie Cecile Allis (both were dead by 1817).

Jean Isedore Allis moved to the Netherlands. He got married there in 1817 - in his marriage certificate it states that he is from "Lithie in neder (lower) Normandie"

Is there a place called "Lethie" or "Le Thie" (or anything that sounds similar) in Basse-Normandie? I know that there is a "Le Thuit" in a different part of Normandie, which could be his birthplace.
