My wife has an ancestor named Captain Charles Aubertin, who was a prisoner of war in England, from Napoleon's army. He married in 1815 at Andover, and had two children, then returned to France alone in 1822, and may have remarried. We would be pleased to hear from any descendants or from anyone who may be able to suggest where to find an Aubertin family in France who may be connected. Has anyone any idea where the Aubertin name originated in France ? Pleased to hear from you, we now live in Australia. Please reply by email. Thanks. Derek Hindle.
