Etiem Celestian Simon b. 1819 in France and d. between 1850 and 1860 in Indiana. He was married to Josephine (Zozofine) Rigot b. 1825 in France. Her parents were John Rigot b. Sep 1797 in Silley, Dept.doubs, France and he died in 1865 in Spencer, IN. His wife was Marie Josette Coquari b. 1799 in France and d. 1842 in Silley, Dept. doubs, France. Marie Josette parents were Vincent Coquari and Marie Claude Atonne.

This early in my research in this line some of my information may be way off, but if anyone is familiar with this line I'd like to hear from you.

I am researching Peter Herin. May have changed his name upon arrival to the US (1850's) from Pierre. Family history says that he and his brother (name unknown to me) left France for New Orleans. It seems the parents wanted to send them to a monastary. The brother died soon after arriving here and Peter settled in Cobden, IL. I have been told they were from the Bordeaux region.

Does anyone know this family or have any ideas where to start in France?

I can trace the French side of my family to Francois Dumay (about 1763) and his wife Marie Marguerite Dupossier. They had children Joseph (father of Baroness Charnotet), Alexandre Guillaume (married Marie Eliz Charlotte Virgilie de Montrichard, daughter of Marquis Salin Hyacinth de Montrichard) and Victor (b 1798). Victor married Dalanoe. Their daughter, Latitia Marie Marguerite Dumay, was born about 1846 and married my great grandfather Alexander Kerr in London, 1871.
I have an old document from 1766 belonging to Philippe de Montrichard. It says that Philippe Bernard de Montrichard was promoted from sub-lieutenant to lieutenant in a newly created company 'de Louis legion de Coode'.

He married in 1815 at Andover, and had two children, then returned to France alone in 1822, and may have remarried. The letter was written in 1943 and list names, presumably of the children: Lucien, Bernard, Mare, Violette, Maurice & Fernande. It is signed Madame Ve OR De Dareby OR Darcky, 40 Rue Jean Garnier (see for yourself below-french.gif). The picture's folder is imprited with, "Les Portraits de A. Les seules choses que je connais au sujet de mon père sont qu’il s’appelle Armand Prat; qu’il est né à Relizane en Algérie le 8 avril 1923; il est le fils de François Prat et de Joséphine Hatagnera et il a marié ma mère le 29 août 1945 à Moltifao en Corse. Je suis le seul fils né de cette union.

On m’a raconté diverses histoires contradictoires au sujet de son décès. Ma mère m’a dit que quelqu’un a dit à mon grand-père qu’il est mort à Lyon en 1947, mais qu’il a été enterré en Algérie. Je crois que mon père peut encore être vivant, et s’il ne l’est pas, j’aimerais tout de même trouver des parents qui pourraient me donner des renseignements à son sujet et au sujet de son côté de la famille.

Je suis du Canada et je recherche des informations sur mon ancêtre maternel, Léger BRAY (ou peut-être BRET), venu de France vers 1690. Nous ne savons pas de quelle région il venait, mais certaines informations reçues, semblent donner des indices vers la Bourgogne. Aussi je viens demander votre aide.
Je recherche l'acte de naissance de Léger BRAY et si possible l'acte de mariage de ses parents Pierre BRAY et Jeanne COUDER. (Éventuellement la naissance de d'autres enfants de ce couple, ou tout autre information relative à ces personnes.)
Lors de son mariage au Canada en 1718, Léger BRAY est dit avoir environ 45
ans, ce qui fixerait sa naissance à 1673. Mais à son décès en 1744, on le dit âgé de 76 ans, ce qui donnerait sa naissance en 1668. Ses parents ont donc dû se marier entre 1660 et 1670.

I am looking for a Lewis Burgoyne or various spellings. A few has been listed.

Lewis was from France. He married Sarah, maiden name unknown. Sarah was born around 1796-1803 in South Carolina.

Her parents were from North Carolina.

In the 1840 Clark County MS. Census it shows Lewis as head of the household.

By 1850 Sarah was alone with 7 children and by 1852 they move to Bradley County Arkansas.

My Great grandmother, Nancy was born in 1848.

Lewis was a fur trapper.

If anyone has any information on French trappers and immigrants or ships with passenger lists from France, I sure could use it.

I have information to share with anyone interested in the descendents of Lewis Burgoyne.

We have no idea as of yet where our Simon Siron came from prior to his being in PA during the 1700's.

If you have any information on this family I would love to hear from you.

His parents are Louis Bonneau who died at the end of the war in 1918. Does anyone know where I can get his war service records from? Here in Canada we can download them from our Goverment web site, is there such a thing there? Louis married Jeanne Mary dates unknown. Louis's parents are Henri Louis Bonneau and Angelina Levasseur.I have no records for any of these people and would like them. Can anyone Help? I am also interested in locating any relatives that may still be alive! I'm also searching for a friend in Quebec who is not on line and is looking for the Family of Francois Godard, believed to have been born at Rochefort, Burgundy, about 1690. He married Gabrielle Viard, who also was born in the same place about 1694. No date of their marriage, or births.He has been searching for four years with no sucess, and at one time Francois went to Quebec, But went back to Rochefort in 1750, from The Three Rivers Foundry, Quebec, in 1752 he is listed on the taxes list in 1752, as recieved from the actual Mayor of Rochefort, Burgundy. Francois died about 1782.
