Surnames: Bonin, Carriere, Doyle, Guignard dit Dalcour, Houde, Houle,
I finally made some progress on my BONIN line only to find that I have the BONIN line running through my family twice and I am not sure if they are seperate families or the same.

My grandmother was Lillian BONIN Doyle. Her father's parents were Antoine BONIN (b 1828 Ste-Elizabeth, Canada) and Julie Carriere (b.1829 Montreal, Quebec, Canada).

I trace Antoine Bonin's father side (Antoine-Nicolas BONIN b. 06 Dec 1794) back to Nicolas BONIN dit Ste-Marie and Marie Francoise Houde dit Houle in the mid 1700.

I then find out that Antoine Bonin's mother (Marie Elisabeth Dalcour b.19 Apr 1797 St-Cuthbert, Quebec, Canada) who was married to Antoine-Nicolas BONIN (m. 11 May 1818 Sainte-Elisabeth, Sainte-Elisabeth, Quebec, Canada) has the BONIN family in her line. Her parents were Ignace Dalcourt & Marie Anne Frappier dit Sthilaire. Ignace Dalcourt parents were Jean Baptiste Guignard dit Dalcour and Marie Josephe Bonnin (b. 05 Sep 1720 Contrecoeur, Quebec, Canada). This line goes back to the Nicolas BONIN dit Ste-Marie & Marie Esmery (m. 19 Nov 1684). This is the Nicolas that you speak of in your emails who is a soldier. I then go back on this line to Nicolas dit l'Aîné BONIN married to Anne Buchard (m. Abt. 1620 La Couarde-sur-Mer, Notre-Dame-des-Bonnes-Nouvelles, France)

Do you have any of these lines in your research?
