Because they are French and Italian and a mixture of both.
My grand parent was french from Corsica. Napoleon Bonaparte
was born in Corsica France. Maybe some fought with the German's ww-2 (Italian's). And some fought with the resistance (French)ww-2 But who really give's a hoot. Both are good people. Proud to be American.
