Hi,
Thanks for your response about the Donzelot family. My GGgrandfather was Piotade or (Protade) Donzelot and his wife was Marieann Poupeney. They immigrated to America from Chamesol France in late 1839 arriving in New Orleans La in February 1840. They immediately took a boat up the Mississippi River to Carondelet Mo. in St. Louis. That was at the time a French settlement..Piotade and Marieann apparently had 2 children Eugenie or Mary E. Donzelot(my great grandmother) and Eugene Donzelot. That is as far back as I have been able to trace the Donzelot's. I do have some additional info on the Poupeney's and on Eugene Donzelot. I have Piotade's last will & testament of Nov. 1847 and Eugene Donzelot's last will. Eugenie or Mary E. Donzelot married Eugene Erard my great grandfather. They had 8 children with Edward Erard my grandfather being the youngest. If you would like the info I have I would be more than happy to e-mail it to you or surface mail it.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Thanks again,
Frank Erard
