I visited the departmental archives in Limoges. It is a well organized and easy to use facility, even for someone who knows little French. I found a summary of births at St. Michel des Lions from 1600. From the microfilm I used, there was a gap from 1620 to 1668. I found my ancestor, Francois Vignaud, born 1676, and his brother, Guillaume, born 1672. the parents are Gabriel Vignaud and Francoise Bernard (Brichaud). I also found many Vignauds between 1600 and 1620.

Is there a summary of the births from 1620 to 1668? Or were the records lost?

I would be interested in any information on the Vignauds.
